These photographs created in 2019 give off my enthusiasm, but the content is unclear: my attempt to interpret certain psychological interiorities was not based on sufficiently in-depth research; I followed instinct and experimentation.
it is the spontaneous representation of my existential worries that come from my deep sense of insecurity that manifest themselves in moments of solitude. I imagine this state of mind as a female figure who stares at me with a hard and judgmental gaze, showing herself confident and evil, exactly as I would so much like to be when I imagine everyday scenes that never existed in my life.
In this period I was fascinated by the way in which a body could blend or relate to an internal space, especially the space of a house furnished with vintage furniture that could recall a ghostly and out of time scenario.
Although I use photography as a medium to recreate imaginary visions, these photographs, like others I did in 2018 and 2019, are images that do not have a real concrete research, they are mostly photographs that document the instant in which I imagined of being a ghost who ruled a house of a deceased, I imagined being a wandering soul imprisoned in that one house, which violates and resides in the various rooms, making itself noticed only a few times, appearing in these shots.
There is the enthusiasm of playing with the camera and the enjoyment of the final result of these photographs that I consider precious and important for my archive of works that I accumulate over the years, but despite this, I still do not consider myself conscious enough and master of the photography.
The work shows the final status of a couple relationship which, with the passage of time, has consumed the passion and the desire to feed the relationship.
This observation it manifests itself specifically in the most experienced rooms of a house: an apathetic, soulless relationship, only two bodies that fill the sofa, bed or table during meals.
I was born in Milan in 1995, I started using photography at eighteen as a self-taught, then I graduated in Painting and Visual Arts at NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts) in Milan.
My work is based on the self-portrait, through which I try to reconstruct an imaginary that describes the traumas of my experience.
I'am still in the process of evolution and experimentation with photography.
